Stephanie Otobo slams $5m lawsuit against Apostle Suleman in Canada

The latest report about Apostle Johnson Suleman and Canadian singer Stephanie Otobo is that she has slammed the man of God a $5milion lawsuit.

This is according to a letter, dated April 19 2017 with case file number CV-17-573595, signed by the registrar of the Ontario Superior Court, made available by Sahara Reporters. The letter, which is addressed to Apostle Suleman’s Ontario residence shows Miss Otobo claiming Canadian $5milion for damages resulting from breach of trust, breach of fiduciary relations, breach of contract, negligence, defamation, poisoning, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional stress, forcible confinement, multiple instances of battery, false imprisonment, fraud, assaults, sexual assaults, sexual harassment, harassment and malicious prosecution.

The lawsuit, which the Apostle is expected to serve and file within 40 days, also puts a restraining order on Apostle Suleman from having anything to do with Miss Otobo whether directly or indirectly.

Apostle Suleman had invited Miss Otobo to his church in Nigeria in August 2015, after which they had s*x and she became pregnant.
In the court summon, Miss Otobo claimed that he was first introduced to her in June 2015 in Canada as one in need of spiritual help. As at this time, Miss Otobo was said to be a refugee in Suleman’s care, after which Otobo had been invited by Suleman to Italy and other European countries in continuation of the 'spiritual grooming' which later developed into a love relationship.

It further revealed that Apostle Suleman had invited Miss Otobo to his church in Nigeria in August 2015, after which they had s*x and she became pregnant. This , according to Miss Otobo, made Apostle Suleman meet with the family of Otobo (her mother, sister and other relations) with gifts and marriage promises.

This was said to have made Miss Otobo forgo her lucrative career and property in Canada to settle down in Nigeria with her 'husband to-be'. Her bubble however got busted later when she allegedly met with the Apostle at the Definite Destiny Hotel in Lagos where she was allegedly given a concoction called "spiritual drink" by Apostle Suleman.

The drink led to the pregnancy being terminated after she lost lots of blood and was given pain-killers by Apostle. She subsequently returned to Canada to receive further treatment, even as she was then stalked by followers of Suleman who were also his church’s congregants in Canada.

It was when she came back to Nigeria to seek redress for her ordeal that she was arrested on March 17, 2017, in company of a male friend in Lagos.

Recall that NAIJ.com had earlier reported that there have been accusations and counter accusations against Apostle Johnson Suleiman, which centered on infidelity and squandering of his church funds on Nigerian actresses and Miss Otobo.

Miss Otobo who is hell bent on pulling down the pillars of Apostle Suleman’s ministry recently released a bank statement showing the man of God made a deposit into her account. This was done to solidify her claims on the relationship she had with the Apostle.

To further erase the doubts that may still be lingering in some people's hearts, she also released screenshots of their bbm chats.
